Workers welfare became the responsibility not only of the Growers but also of the Union.

 THe Agbayani Village

Through the Agbayani Village, the Union also took it upon itself to promote, 
in particular, the welfare of the Manong generation. 

"Today we are opening a retirement village for all farmworkers who can no longer go to work. It is a village for the farmworkers who have been discarded from the shacks and the barracks of the growers to whom we gave the best years of our lives."
